50 Things to Add to Your Summer Bucket List

I’m all about making the best out of a season of life. Sure, some days you want to just stay in and have fun. That’s important too. But, I also love a good list. I’m sure you’ve seen that if you look at any other post on here. And what better way to have fun this summer than create your own list? As always, I make a list of ideas, and I always want whoever reads these to make their own.

  1. Go on a hike.
  2. Try a new restaurant every week.
  3. Have a dinner party with friends.
  4. Go tubing (floating).
  5. Try a new craft and actually stick to it.

  11. Get yourself a library card.
  12. Read at least 1 book every month (or more!)
  13. Organize that one drawer or that one closet that needs a little extra love.
  14. Purge your belongings – don’t hold on to things you don’t need!
  15. Create scrapbooks/picture journals of everything sentimental (cards, stickers, letters, tickets, etc.)
  16. Get dressed up for a fancy dinner or event.
  17. Go camping.
  18. Go on a walk in a new park in your city.
  19. Be a tourist in your own city for a day.
  20. Go to a museum or an event for adults at a kid’s museum.
  21. Go see an outdoor movie.

  25. Visit a nearby town or city and actually walk around.
  26. Volunteer for a day, or even once a week.
  27. Try meals from different countries at local restaurants.
  28. Finally figure out your perfect skincare routine.
  29. Try a new form of exercise that makes you eager to do it.
  30. Go see a movie and get all the snacks you can eat.
  31. Go on a distillery or winery tour.
  32. Get a disposable camera or lots of disposable cameras and wait until the end of summer to get them printed.
  33. Start. That. Business (or side hustle).
  34. Get near water, whether that be a lake, ocean, river, or waterfall.
  35. Learn a new skill to help you either personally or professionally.
  36. Go to a paint and sip.
  37. Go bowling.
  38. Go roller skating.
  39. Play cornhole in your backyard or at a beer garden.
  40. Start and actually keep up with a journal.
  41. Learn to actually meditate.

  46. Binge a full movie series in one day just for fun (Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Twilight, etc).
  47. Create a bucket list of things you want to do, places you want to go, and things you want to accomplish.
  48. Watch the sunset or sunrise as much as possible.
  49. Say yes to an invitation where you won’t know many people.
  50. Go to a baseball game.

There are so many different things that you could do both this summer and pretty much any time of year. The most important thing I try to remind myself is to just be unapologetically excited. Don’t let anyone make you feel small or silly for loving something you love. Get excited about everything that you do. Have fun while you are doing it. And never say you’re sorry.

I hope you have the best summer ever, and go make your list!!
