If you have a sweet tooth like me, here are 10 desserts in Nashville you have to try. Nashville can definitely be a drinking type of city, but it’s also home to some amazing desserts!! This list of things to do in Nashville is full of sweet treats like ice cream, cookies, cookie dough, donuts, and more!

1. Baked Bear

Head over to Midtown for the ultimate ice cream sandwich! At Baked Bear you can choose your cookie flavors and your ice cream flavors to make the ideal ice cream sandwich. They have 12 ice cream flavors and 12 cookie flavors to choose from. You can also just get ice cream or just cookies or brownies if you want!

The place is small but smells heavenly when you walk in, and there are plenty of places to take cute pictures with your perfect ice cream sandwich. Want more? They have tons of toppings to choose from to add even more flavor and beauty to your order. Check out the menu here: Baked Bear Menu

2. Gracie’s Milkshake Bar

I love this place SO much. I’m a huge sucker for massive and extravagant milkshakes. Looks amazing AND tastes even better? Can’t beat it. Gracie’s Milkshake Bar is located in the L&L Market, and it’s designed like an old diner. Order one of their many milkshakes and watch them whip it up at the U-shaped bar.

Some days I could eat an entire one by myself, but these milkshakes are also perfect for sharing with a friend or on a date. Literally every milkshake comes out looking too good to eat. AND, they have fries or floats if you want! I mean, just look at their menu: Gracie’s Milkshake Bar Menu.

3. Bobbie’s Dairy Dip

An absolute staple of Nashville is Bobbie’s Dairy Dip. When I was growing up, everyone went here for their ice cream needs. I mean, you know a place is good when they don’t even have a website, they just have a Facebook page with pictures of the menu.

Bobbie’s Dairy Dip is a walk-up stand with plenty of picnic tables on the sides of the building (covered!). They have burgers, fries, chicken, chili, and hot dogs. And for the main attraction – they have classic and specialty milkshakes that are super delicious. This is a no frills kind of place, and that’s what makes it so good.

4. Sweet and Three

*UPDATED 01/11/2023: TEMPORARILY CLOSED*

Sweet and Three is located at Tailgate Brewery in West Nashville. Although it is temporarily closed, keep tabs on their Instagram to check for updates on when they will be back! And while you’re there, make sure to take a look at the amazing ice cream creations. It is soft serve ice cream with tons of topping options.

They layer their soft serve with toppings at the bottom, in between, AND on top. What a solution!! It’s the worst when the toppings are only on top and you don’t have enough or you eat them before you even get to the middle. Look no further – Sweet and Three makes these perfectly.

5. Sunflower Bakehouse

Vegan dessert!! This can be hard to find – especially in Nashville. There really aren’t a ton of vegan options here, but the Sunflower locations can hook you up! I mean, I just need you to check out their super large vegan and gluten-free dessert menu: Sunflower Bakehouse Menu.

They have cupcakes, scones, cookies, muffins, and upside-down cakes. And they are all gluten-free and vegan!! Honestly, it’s a little overwhelming to try and pick something when you go inside here. I tried the cupcake for my birthday, and while the cake part was definitely different than what I’m used to, the icing was to die for. If you’re curious about vegan desserts, definitely check this place out! They have an entire vegan food menu too!

6. NoBaked Cookie Dough

There is never a time that I don’t want NoBaked Cookie Dough. That is a very serious statement. Whenever I think about wanting a dessert or something sweet, my first thought is NoBaked. They have a few different locations around Nashville (and it’s now a chain in multiple locations!), but Nashville was the first.

They have tons of different flavors to try and even some rotating seasonal flavors. Oh, and you can get dairy-free options too! This cookie dough is completely safe to eat, but be warned, you will get addicted. My favorite is the confetti or the chocolate chip, but I could eat any of them. You can get 1 scoop, 2, or even pint sized! And did I mention they ship anywhere? Check them out here to see flavors and locations: NoBaked Cookie Dough

7. Cotton & Snow

Another fun place to get a sweet treat is Cotton & Snow. They are located in the Opry Mills area as well as at Fifth and Broadway. I went to the Opry Mills location, and it is the cutest purple house. It’s definitely in a touristy area, but you walk up to the window to order and there are plenty of tables around it to eat. They serve cotton candy, shaved ice, and ice cream. I mean, come on. So many good options.

Speaking of options, they have SO many options for shaved ice flavors, ice cream flavors, and rotating cotton candy flavors. Cotton & Snow is perfect for a hot summer day, but it’s definitely a TON of sugar. You can do what I did and get the ultimate combo: all three! I never understood (until I tried it) how amazing the combination of these sweets can be. Check out their menu here: Cotton & Snow Menu

8. Donut Distillery

Donut Distillery is on every list I make for Nashville. I’m obsessed, okay? They make miniature donuts that are perfect for all taste buds. Some are savory and some are oh so sweet. They have a signature 12 donuts that are always there, but they also sometimes have seasonal options! And don’t forget you can get a donut milkshake here. That’s right: 2 donuts of your choice mixed in with the ice cream, and another donut of your choice on top.

I can’t move on without mentioning they have a beer pairing flight, a mimosa pairing flight, and coffee cocktail flight. You can let them do the pairing or you can choose your own! It’s such a fun brunch option, and you can sit inside their little house shop or outside at the picnic tables if you’re in East Nashville. Check out their menu here: Donut Distillery East Nashville Menu.

9. Fryce Cream

Okay, we all love a good salty and sweet combo, so look no further than Fryce Cream. Open in the summertime, you can get fries with a number of different seasoning options paired with a soft serve ice cream of your choice. We got a flight of fries and soft serve, and they are really on point with their pairings. Although, honestly the plain soft serve with any of the fries would have been perfect for me.

They don’t have a website, but they are located on 12th south, next to lots of other fun places to visit! To see more pictures and other options, go to their Instagram: @frycecream.

10. Deja Moo Creamery & Coffee

While it’s not quite in Nashville, Deja Moo is located in White House, TN. It’s a short drive from Nashville, but they have ice cream flights!! You heard me right. You can try four flavors on a classic flight board. And their flavors are SO good.

They also have massive sundaes and extremely creative options for consuming all the sweets you could want. Skillet cookies, ice cream sandwiches, milk shakes, you name it. They also serve coffee and breakfast and lunch! Check out their menu here: Deja Moo Creamery Menu.
